MRA Marketing has been appointed to represent Solidor in the trade arena. Part of the DW3 Products Group, Solidor has grown rapidly and has ambitions to lead its market.
“We plan to expand the premium quality sector of the market,” says Solidor Managing Director, Joe Martoccia. “That means demonstrating the difference between Solidor and the rest, and show why we make doors differently and how our go-to-market benefits our network partners.
“MRA has a strong track record of helping companies change markets to achieve ambitious goals. We’re excited by the new programme.
“Tests show that a Solidor outperforms 7 out of 10 doors in the market,” Joe continues. “Solidor is way ahead in security. It’s ready now for Approved Document Q, and the much tougher PAS24 ‘cut test’ that comes in before the end of 2015. Its unique, solid, laminated-hardwood core means a Solidor is secure. No ifs or buts,” continues Joe. “As presently specified, most composite doors are a long way from ready, as our video shows. In it, an independent test house puts a Solidor and two composite doors through the test. It shows how insecure most doors are. The two competitors’ doors represent over two thirds of the market.”
Solidor is designed to be different. That starts with how it’s made. Most composite doors use a hard skin of GRP to protect a soft, foam-filled core. But Solidor has a robust through-colour thermoplastic skin, and a unique, solid, laminated-hardwood timber core. “That makes Solidor ‘almost certainly’ the most secure composite door on the market,” Joe explains.
“We’re using videos, adverts, PR, direct marketing and social media in an integrated, strategic marketing programme to tell the industry about the test and what it means,” adds MRA Marketing MD, Mike Rigby. “We’re sparking an industry-wide debate about security and the implications of the test. We’re aiming to change industry perceptions about security, and expand Solidor’s footprint. MRA will show premium fabricators and installers why Solidor is the only composite door for quality, innovation, design and security.”
