‘Marketing on a Shoestring’ at BMF Forum

Mike Rigby’s masterclass at the recent Branch Managers' Forum was a great success, according to the organisers, the Builders Merchant Federation.

MRA’s MD Mike Rigby’s latest masterclass at the recent Builders’ Merchant Federation (BMF) Forum in January was a great success, according to the BMF. Mike was in good company as the forum included other speakers from prestigious brands such as Ridgeons, SIG, Twyford, Monument Tools, Southall Associates, Russell HR, and SCA Timber.

Around 50 Branch Managers from independents and national merchants from Aberdeen to the South Coast attended the forum, including Jewsons, Parker Building Supplies, Beatsons & Bradfords. Over 40 people attended Mike’s masterclass ‘How marketing and merchandising can transform your customer experience and your sales’ and the following workshop, ‘Marketing on a Shoestring’.

“The point of the masterclass and workshop was to show merchants just how much they can do in individual branches and across the business, starting today – including several powerful ideas that merchants can do themselves and that don’t cost a penny,” explains Mike.

“Mike’s masterclass was one of the most popular workshops on the day,” commented Christine Harding, Marketing Manager of the BMF. “There was a lot of positive feedback and several requests for further information. It was described as a thought-provoking insight into marketing.”
