Accounts Clerk/Manager wanted

MRA Marketing is a fast-growing, multi-award winning, marketing agency based in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire. We specialise in B2B marketing for the building materials and construction markets and we’ve been in the Top 3 of the Construction Marketing Awards Agency League for 4 years running.

We are looking for an Accounts Clerk/Manager – part-time preferred but full-time considered. You’ll be working with an existing member of staff so team work is important.

Responsibilities include:
• Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals
• Processing monthly accounts
• Processing accounts payable/receivable (invoicing/purchasing)
• Credit control and chasing debt
• Payroll
• Inland Revenue and VAT
• Bank reconciliation
• General office administration and other ad hoc duties

Key requirements:
• A thorough understanding of accountancy and book-keeping
• Proven working experience in an Accounts role
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office (eg Word, Excel), accounting software (eg Sage)
• Proven knowledge of accounting/book-keeping principles, standards and regulations
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality essential
• Experience of Management Accounts/Reporting preferable but not essential
• Good organisational skills and ability to work to and sometimes implement own processes
• Holding or working towards an AAT certificate or related accountancy qualification would also be desirable.

Salary based on ability and experience.
