MRA is very different from other PR & Marketing agencies. Many agencies say that, but we’re different because of what we promise to do for customers, and what we do to deliver that promise, is different from other B2B agencies in construction.
MRA specialises in construction, building materials and home improvement markets. Last year was our 25th year. We are a full service strategic PR & marketing agency that helps companies grow, taking customers from their ‘A to B’ to achieve their big strategic goals. Our proactive approach helps customers grow consistently faster than their markets, usually much faster.
The customers we attract are more ambitious and keen to lead, make a difference or change their markets. Some want to get to No.1, grow more profitably, turn decline into growth, break into or create a new market or reposition their brand.
Many of the top brands in construction are customers. The programmes for key customers are bigger and more integrated than normal campaigns, and they last longer. That’s because, in order to take customers from their ‘A to B’ we have to change perceptions, and change specifying and buying behaviour. Changing perceptions, specifications and buying behaviour so it translates into significant growth and share gains takes time - perhaps 3 years or more to shift a market.
So, how we work with customers, the levels we operate at, and how we organise, manage and deliver our programmes is different to other agencies. Not only do we set the strategy to get from ‘A to B’ within X years, we provide the services, skills, tools and drive to make it happen.
We measure performance in all the usual ways, of course, but the measurement that matters to customers is the promise we make to help them grow and achieve their objectives. We help turn declining or static sales into strong consistent growth for example, so sales and market share growth and how they are seen by their customers are the measurements that really matter. We work closely with customer CEOs, MDs, marketing and sales teams. We design the integrated strategic programme and may do it all, or work with the in-house team or other agencies on part of the programme. But we are responsible for strategy, direction, messaging and making it happen.
